Emergency Assistance Fund Overview
Created in 1929 at the beginning of the Depression, The Washington State Chapter Welfare Fund was founded.
The purpose of this fund is to give temporary assistance to members and non-members who have unexpected short-term financial needs.
During the convention of Washington State Chapter in 1981 the word “Welfare” was dropped and the Fund was renamed "Emergency Assistance Fund."
